About GOELIA's Story

Our brand founder, Gordon, was born in a family with a long-standing tradition in the fashion industry. His grandfather was first involved in the fashion business and gained a solid reputation as a skilled tailor in the local community. Growing up in such an environment, Gordon developed a natural talent and passion for fashion design from an early age, destined to embark on a career in the fashion industry.

Around the 1990s, in his twenties, Gordon ventured into the clothing wholesale business. With his keen sense of fashion and strong market insight, he established his own supply chain, which opened doors into the market and gaining traction among retailers who loved his products.

In 1995, Gordon realized that despite having great products, he lacked a dedicated label that would allow more people to recognize his clothing, so he made up his mind to establish his own brand, name GLORIA (GOELIA)*. He adopted the principles of truth, goodness, and beauty as the foundation of his brand, and it became the guiding motto for all his endeavors. This is also the origin of "Cheng Yi", the Chinese name for GOELIA’s concept, which represents genuine quality, honest pricing, and sincere design and service.

Since 2000, Gordon has traveled to over 40 countries worldwide and opened nearly 1,000 GOELIA stores across the globe and has deeply cultivated the ladies’ clothing market. In December 2018, in order to provide better service, Gordon made the decision to close a significant number of small-scale stores, only keeping over 200 physical stores till now. He chose to focus on large-scale boutique stores and enhance brand image, with the aim of being more accountable to customers. This pursuit has been a lifelong commitment for him: to consistently offer high-quality lady clothing with excellent value, to remain dedicated to a single brand, and to stay committed for 28 years and counting.

GOELIA believes the production of responsible fabrics is the brand's mission and insists on using high-quality, comfortable, and conscientious fabrics and accessories. For example, precious Xiangyun silk made with natural dyes, acetate cloth made with natural wood pulp, and washable wool as well as mulberry silk with rich in a variety of amino acids. All of these are dedicated to providing customers with a comfortable and skin-friendly wearing experience.

Design

GOELIA believes design is the most important part. Our design team conducted in-depth market research, traveled through 20+ countries and 30+ cities, observed and researched the clothing of different groups of people, as well as analyzed in-depth needs of customers, in order to design clothes which meet the need for fashion and comfort at the same time. We have obtained three clothing innovation patents, insisting on being responsible for the design of each clothing.

Price

GOELIA insists on making cost-effective high-quality garments. We not only guarantee the quality of clothing, but also ensure that the price of clothing is over 40% lower than other similar brands without compromising the quality of the garment. That's truly responsible and high cost performance.

Service

GOELIA insists on taking the needs of customers as the first priority. In addition to providing a 15-day return and refund service, we will also provide lifelong care services (in-store care) for GOELIA's silk and cashmere garments.
