How to Remove Fresh Chocolate Stains?

Fresh stains are the easiest to remove. In this case, the chocolate stain does not soak into the fabric as much.

The three most accessible options:

1. It is often enough to moisten the chocolate stains with dishwashing gel and, after half an hour, rub them with a kitchen sponge.

2. Another simple way is to treat it with a mixture of 3 tbsp. Of rock salt and 1 cup of water. In the resulting solution, you must soak the soiled thing and leave it for 30 minutes. After that, proceed to the usual washing.

3. Chocolate stains are easily removed with simple laundry soap. You need to thoroughly soap the soiled area and leave it for a while so that the fats in the composition of the chocolate stains have time to dissolve. After that, you only need to rinse the clothes thoroughly to completely wash the cocoa particles out of the fibers.

How to Remove Chocolate Stains from Different Types of Fabric?

Silk
Delicate and fragile silk fabric should not be exposed to "harsh" stain removers. But it perfectly tolerates ammonia solution. You should start with a weak concentration - about 1 teaspoon per 100 ml of warm water. If the chocolate stains do not want to leave the "forced" place, the concentration can be increased up to a ratio of 1:1. The solution should be applied from the underside of the garment with a cotton disk or a thin white cloth. After the stain is over, rinse the clothes with cold water and then wash them as usual.

Clothing made of synthetics
To remove chocolate stains from artificial fabric, use a mixture of ammonia and medical alcohol. The optimal proportion is 3 teaspoons of "ammonia" and 1 teaspoon of medical alcohol. The material is treated from the front side using a cotton disk. Put a few paper napkins under the underside of the clothes and replace them as they get dirty. After completing the procedure, wash the clothes as usual. If there is no medical alcohol, you can use ordinary vodka. But it will have to be mixed with ammonia in equal proportions.

Cotton
There are 3 proven ways to remove chocolate stains from cotton clothing:

- Place a piece of thick cloth under the area with the stain. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of milk on chocolate stains, depending on size. Leave it for 5 minutes. Wipe with napkins or a white cloth. If necessary, repeat the procedure. After that, wash the clothes in the usual mode, using the machine or manually.

- Wash the contaminated area of the fabric with laundry soap. We use warm salt water when washing to make the process more effective. The amount of salt does not affect anything, but 1 tablespoon per 1 liter of liquid will be enough. Traces of soap wash off with cool water.

- The following method is suitable for stains that have had time to be well absorbed and dried up. Soak a cotton disk in a solution of ammonia alcohol - 1 tablespoon to 1 cup of warm water. Wipe the stain from the back side until the chocolate stains start to come off. It will be noticeable by the way the stain becomes lighter in color and the dirt adheres to your fingers. After that, you can carefully treat the front side of the garment with ammonia. At the end, wash it with cold water without soap.

Wool
The chocolate stains from woolen clothes can be removed with the help of ordinary glycerin:

- Glycerin should be heated to a temperature slightly above room temperature, applied to the area with the stain, and left for about 30 minutes. The fabric may not have time to soak in if it is very dense. In this case, leave the glycerin for 1 hour - it will not harm the wool. After that, wash off with cool water. If there are still chocolate stains, repeat the procedure.

- To increase the effectiveness of glycerin, you can add ammonia to it. It will be enough 1-2 teaspoons of "ammonia" per glass of glycerin. The procedure is the same: apply, leave for half an hour, wash off with cold water.

Linen fabric
Linen is a rather rough material. The most effective ways to remove chocolate stains from linen fabric are as follows:

- Soap the contaminated area with laundry soap. Then, wipe with a colorless cloth soaked in hot water. If this does not help, linen clothes can be boiled, and the chocolate stains disappear.

- If you do not want to test the outfit with boiling water, you need to try a solution of table salt. In a glass of warm water, stir 2-3 tablespoons of salt and gently rub the solution into the stain. It is best to use a colorless cloth, but you can do it with a cotton disk.

Denim fabric
Remove chocolate stains from denim fabric, which can be removed with the help of salt solution. Add 3 teaspoons of salt to 100 ml of warm water and stir thoroughly. Ensure no salt is left at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, it will settle on the jean's white scum, and it will have to be laundered. Apply salt water on chocolate stains with a clean kitchen sponge or thick, colorless cloth. Rub the chocolate stains until it disappears. Then - wash with cold tap water. Chocolate stains spread very quickly on jeans, so move from the edges to the center, not the other way around. This is a general rule for removing chocolate stains, but for denim, it is especially important because of its rough texture.

Suede
The suede fabric should be handled with care. Alcohol, including ammonia, can spoil it. Therefore, you have to look for other ways to remove chocolate stains:

- On a fresh contamination, you can pour a little cornmeal. It will absorb the fat from the chocolate, and it can be shaken off after 15-20 minutes. The remains of the chocolate stains, which have now become dry, should be removed with ordinary water. If it does not help, you can wash it with laundry soap.

- Try to remove old dried chocolate stains with a special eraser for suede or an ordinary school rubber band. Lightly, almost without pressure, drive the eraser on the stain and watch whether the state of the dirty place changes. If the dirt comes off - continue the procedure until it is completely cleaned, after which you rinse with cold water. If this method does not help, you can carefully use the finest sandpaper instead of an eraser.

White fabric
When working with white fabric, you need to be especially careful. To remove the chocolate stains from it, you can use hydrogen peroxide. Take 1-2 teaspoons of this product and carefully apply it to the surface of the stain (the easiest way to do this is with a dropper). Leave it for about 10 minutes. After that, gently blot the surface with a cotton swab and rinse in cold water. You can rinse the fabric under a stream and in any container - it does not play a special role.

Dark fabric
On white clothes, unsightly brown streaks are immediately conspicuous. It is impossible not to notice them. However, dark things are peculiar to "mask" stains; therefore, if you do not see the pollution in time, they can enter the structure of the fibers. The main condition is that you need to act quickly. In the fight against chocolate stains can help you:

- Alcohol and naschatyr solution. Mix the components in a ratio of 3:1, wet the absorbent cotton with the composition, attach it to the back side, and put a paper napkin to the front side. Wait a couple or three minutes, and then wash the thing.

- Do not use hot water. The optimal value is +40° C. Otherwise, the chocolate stains will be even more absorbed into the fabric.

- Aqueous solution of glycerin and ammonia. Take water, glycerin and ammonia in the proportion of 2:1:2. Carefully distribute the means, leave it for 2-3 minutes, then wipe off the remains of dirt with a cotton disk.

- The undoubted advantage of dark-colored fabric is the absence of a clear contour of the grease stain. That is, even if there is a grease residue, it will not be noticeable after washing.
